Was looking for a stuffed animal for a boy, and did'nt want to get him anything the parents might consider too "girly", so this seemed a good choice. With each pull of the spider on his chest, he sings one line from Itsy Bitsy Spider. I got this at a lower price, so it was a fine purchase. The singing is a little monotonous to me, but a child may like it.

We got this becuase my son (2 years old) loves his sing-along dancing Spidey so much. That one is not very soft so did not make a good bedtime toy. This one is perfect! It's soft enough to take to bed but still sings. He hasn't had problems pulling the cord. The spider handle is large enough for him to grab easily and you don't have to pull very hard. I do wish it sang more than one line at a time though. This has been a GREAT toy - he actually wants to go to bed now.

I was not sure if my 5 year old grandson would think this was too young for him, but it was him favorite birthday toy!

This would have been so much better if it had something to push or squeeze for the music, as the pull cord is not easy for every toddler to grasp the concept of, and isn't as durable either. It only sings the one song, and not all at once. You have to keep puttling the cord to play the next line in the song. Just disappointing and clear why it was discounted.
