This was a very worthwhile trade paperback.
The Story pretty much is that Kulah-Khan takes over the body of a U.S. Senator and transforms New York into a Hyborian age city.(wikipedia Conan, Red Sonja etc for what Hyboria is).Everyone assumes similar roles to their norms except with a medieval/fantasy twist.Spider-Man however is totally unchanged, and Mary-Jane Watson is possessed by Red-Sonja. Venom, Hobgoblin, Scorpion, Lizard all arrive to cause their own mayhem.
The reason this book is awesome #1 is the art! Rubi is a fantastic artist, makes Sonja look incredible, his Spider-Man is among my favourites of spidey recently and his Venom brought back fond memories of the old Eddie Brock Venom from the late 80's and 90's. The dialogue is funny because everyone except for Spidey speaks in Fantasy/Old English speak so he(spidey) is constantly cracking jokes even talks to one like a pirate.
All in all its good times, that is what Comic books are meant to be.
I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone, not just fans of ether genre.
