I bought my 3 year old a scooter for Christmas. My 20 month son loved it, he hooped right on and scoots around the house with no problems. I went today and got him one of his own, so there will be no more fighting. The 3 wheels make it so sturdy, he can just hop on and off with no problems. Really a great toy for 20.00. I can see scooter races in my future.

It's made exactly for a 3-4 year old and it's very sturdy and safe. My son hopped right on it and didn't have any problems with manuvering it. He has never fallen off of it and it has never tipped over. He has a BLAST on it.
However, I do think the recommended age of 5-6 year old is a bit wrong. I think it would be too small for that age group.

My 3 year old received this for Christmas from his Grandparents. He LOVES THIS SCOOTER! He hopped right on and can zoom all over the house! I love the fact that it has 2 rear wheels, giving it more balance. I agree with the other reviewer that 5 and up is not a realistic age for this scooter. My son is 3, and he is already 41" tall and 42 lbs, so by the time he is 5 he will have outgrown it, but for now, it is fantastic!

The suggested age range is "5 and up", but the maximum weight is 44 lbs! The "average" 5 yr old boy is already 40lbs (50th percentile). Most 5-6 year olds will be too heavy for this item, or will rapidly outgrow it -- so the manufacturer's suggested age range of "5 and up" is very misleading. The scooter is also very small. They should provide all the weight/height and other limits for the toys rather than just age ranges -- which in this case were very misleading. (I got this item for my nephew who is 4 yrs 9 months old, and he is already too heavy for it at 45 lbs.) Also, forget about telling me the BOX size and give me the SCOOTER'S measurments. It would have saved me a lot of hassle and disappointment.

I have a rather small 2-yr old toddler (he still wears some 18-months clothes), and he absolutely loves this scooter! While he can't zoom around as quick as the bigger kids, he can keep it upright (since it has the 2 back wheels) and he uses his foot to kick around a little at a time. He hasn't had it very long, but it seems to be very durable, too. He loves the watch as well, though it's way too big for him... it has Spidey on it and that's all that matters to him!
