LeapFrog® Leapster® Learning Game: Disney Princess

In association with Amazon.com

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - A childs dream that could be better
When my daughter got the Leapster from her grandma for her birthday, I got her 3 game cartridges to play with and being absolutely in love with all the Disney Princesses, I really expected 2 things:

1. She would love the Disney Princess Leapster games and really learn from them.

2. The Leapster Disney Princess Game Cartridge would be a high quality learning tool.

Well, so far, neither is working out. My daughter still loves the princesses and she really loves her Leapster L-Max but the Disney Princess game cartridge has been a bust. The graphics are extremely poor quality and it does not translate well to the TV. The learning quality of the games is minimal at best. I am so disappointed especially since these cartridges cost almost $25.00 each. I purchased the Animal Adventure Cartridge at the same time and she can't put it down. Make no mistake. The Leapster L-Max is awesome and she loves it. It's the Disney Princess Cartridge that just doesn't make the grade.

I'm sorry I can't recommend the princesses but it really needs a lot of work to be worth it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - great game for girls!!
My daughter loves this game! She loves gathering jewels for the jewel chamber. There is also a nice game that helps teach writing that she loves. Very creative and fun to play!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - adorable and educational
if you have a princess lover among you, this is the best. so cute and captivating and actually educational for little ones. i love it for my 3 year old. she is really getting it!! i am impressed.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - a must
My daughter got this game when she was 4 and still loves it (she is 5 1/2). It teaches handwriting, math concepts, listening skills and it goes on for a long time unlike the other games that are over in 20 minutes. It also gets them to use their fine motor skills. I am a former teacher and I tell all my friends with girls this is the game to have. I have to disagree that this game is silly and noneducational. I think it is very appropriate for the 3 1/2 to 5 age range depending on your child. I think that once your child reaches kider they might be too advanced for it, but still love to play it.
Do all games have to prepare children for being rocket scientist? Can't kids be kids and just play with something that they enjoy? I give it a BIG thumbs up!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - This game has helped my daughter with her writing!
My 3 year old got this game a few months ago and is only 3 and a half right now. She has started writing her letters because of the Cinderella dancing game and had even built enough confidence to start writing her own name. I was not sure she was ready for a leapster when she turned 3 but slowly she has built tremendous confidence with it and is now completely on her own.

This game will help your child tremendously and a must have for your child's leapster collection, the results have impressed me!
