Nice collection of cartoons laying the foundation for the Venom character that will be in the Spiderman3 movie due out this year. Suitable for watching with children.

I love the Venom Saga series. It's the hotness! Spider-man froever battling w/himself, and coming to realize that Venom doesn't bring out all the best in him, but it's a learning process and as long as he gets something out of his experience it's cool.

Well, might as well go over "the venom saga". It is actually a really good dvd but why there are no boxed sets is mystifying.
The first 3 episodes are the real saga. The alien costume part 1, 2 and 3 are brilliant and you will just have to go out and get this to see if I am right in telling you this is one of the best cartoons ever. More than likely you have seen this when it ran in the afternoon after school but if you haven't, get ready for a rare treat. They really don't make em like this anymore. Venom Returns and Carnage are also both really good episodes.
The special features are great and had me pleasantly surprised. There is a quick intro to each episode by the grerat Stan Lee. Also the Stan Lee soapbox is cool as he talks about venom's popularity. A very irritating DVD menu has really good info on the real origin of venom.
So obviously I am wondering just like everyone else where my boxed set is. I got it for Batman, where is Spiderman?

This cartoon was my life when I was a kid. I bought this for my buddy's birthday and he pretty much crapped his pants when he opened it. I win!

The Venom Saga is an animated series and Spiderman The Venom Saga features five episodes of the series. Each episode includes an introduction by Marvel king Stan Lee. The DVD also has some cool features such as Stan Lee's Soap Box, and The Venoumous Web. Venom is one of the most popular villans that Spider Man has ever faced. If you have children who enjoyed the Spiderman movies they will probably enjoy this DVD, I know my kids enjoyed it.
