We got this for our 7 year old son. It is put together pretty well, but it is heavy and difficult for him to switch between weapons. We actually had to do the switching because he couldn't do it one-handed. The weapons are fun and no one got hurt, even when I was hit by one of the plastic missiles. It is pretty heavy so he doesn't play with it for long periods of time (good thing?).
We bought this back in Sept or Oct for $[...]. The refill of the web-fluid can be pricey so I would watch how much your child is using. It is reasonably fun, though.

I purchased this item for my nephew who absolutely loved it. My nephew is seven years old and his brother is five and they have had a blast with it. I would definitely recommend this item.
